Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program Siting Liability Agreement <br />(page A-1) <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION: <br /> <br />The execution of this agreement will facilitate the City’s hosting of the annual Household <br />Hazardous Waste and Electronic Waste (HHW/E-Waste) Round-Up event on March 30, <br />2019, at the City Hall/City Yard site. <br /> <br />The agreement will also hold harmless the City against any liability claims that may result <br />from the HHW/E-Waste roundup activities taking place on City-owned property, and shifts <br />the liability to the County of Los Angeles. The event will be sponsored by the County of <br />Los Angeles and the County Sanitation District No. 2 of Los Angeles County. They <br />require signing the attached siting agreement (Attachment A). The agreement has been <br />reviewed and approved by the City Attorney’s office. The County has also provided a <br />certificate of self-insurance to the City the week of the event. <br /> <br /> <br />1
