Wedemeyer [mailto:lowell@transtalk.com] <br />Sent: Monday, September 18, 2017 5:40 PM <br />To: CC <CC@rpvca.gov> <br />Subject: Sept. 19, Agenda Item 2, Cal Water <br />Honorable Mayor and Council: <br />I am submitting this comment as an individual citizen and Cal Water customer. <br />I am appending a photo taken last week depicting an issue of soil failure beneath the <br />Cal Water supply main along Burma Road Trail, at Paintbrush Canyon, Portuguese <br />Bend Nature Reserve. This is a reliability issue and suggests a vulnerability of the <br />water supply to earthquake as well as landslide. <br />I request that Cal Water be asked to address how they are maintaining this supply <br />line through the landslide vicinity, and what plans they have to reduce the <br />vulnerability of this supply line to soil failure and earthquake. <br />Lowell R.
