The two days, celebrated on October 21 and 22, mark
respectively the births of the two most important Luminaries of the Baha'i Faith.
Joining the other friends in the South Bay area, the Baha'i community of Rancho Palos Verdes is
celebrating this festive occasion on October 22 at 3:00 pm in Ken Miller Auditorium, Torrance
Cultural Center, 3441 Torrance Blvd ., Torrance CA 90503 . They will be honored if the Council
members of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes can join them at this event.
A separate invitation will be mailed to each member in the coming week .
The Baha'i Faith, the world's newest independent global religion, teaches the oneness of God,
the unity of humanity and the essential harmony of religion . Baha'is believe in peace, justice,
love, altruism and unity. The Baha'i teachings promote the agreement of science and religion,
the equality of the sexes and the elimination of all prejudice and racism. The millions
of Baha'is in the world come from every ethnicity, nationality, tribe, age, racial group, religious
background and economic and social class. Ba ha' is accept the val idity of each of the founders
and prophets of the major world religions, and believe in progressive revelation, the unique
Baha'i principle that views every great Faith as a link in a single spiritual system progressively
revealed by God to humanity.
We look forward to seeing you at the event on October 22 . Should you need any additional
information, or if the RPV Baha'i community can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to
contact us .
Respectfully;
~(IAMj~ ~~ btS
Shawna Omid, DDS
Secretary, Spiritual Assembly of the Ba ha' is of Rancho Palo s Verdes
AND MA DE PART OF THE Rl!COAO AT THE
COUNC IL MEETI NG 01': °ilS l Q
OPFICI 01' THI C ITYC~ERK
