unanimously carried, the following order was adopted:
WHEREAS , on May 24 , 1973, the Board adopted an order closing the
hearing; setting boundaries as approved by the Local Agency Formation
Commission on February 28 , 1973; determining that in excess of 19,138
registered voters reside within the area of said proposed incorporation;
and accepting the proposal that the name of "City of Rancho Palos Verdes"
be submitted to the electors as the name for the proposed city; and
WHEREAS, on May 24 , 1973, an election was called for August 28 , 1973 ,
to be held in the area proposed for incorporation, for the purpose of
determining whether said territory should become incorporated as a
general law city known as the City of Rancho Palos Verdes and for
the purpose of electing the members of the City Council . Required legal
notice was given, which accurately described the boundaries of the
proposed incorporation as set by the Board of Supervisors, and describedProPP
