CC RES 2026-042 RESOLUTION NO. 2026-42 IIIA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES, AMENDING, RESTATING, AND SUPERSEDING RESOLUTION NO. 2026-27 THAT SETS THE SALARY SCHEDULE FOR THE RANCHO PALOS VERDES EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION, UNREPRESENTED EMPLOYEES, AND THE CITY MANAGER TO REFLECT A THREE PERCENT COST OF LIVING ADJUSTMENT EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2026 WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution 2026-27 on April 7, 2026, that sets a new Salary Schedule for part-time employees; and, WHEREAS, the City Council now desires to amend the City's Salary Schedule to reflect updated salary ranges for all full-time employees represented by the Rancho Palos Verdes Employee Association and Unrepresented (Management and Confidential) employees, including the City Manager, based on cost of living adjustment (COLA) wage increase of three percent (3%) effective July 1, 2026; and, WHEREAS, Section 36506 of the California Government Code requires that the City Council fix the compensation of all appointive officers and employees by resolution or ordinance; and, WHEREAS, Rule V of the Personnel Rules of the City provides that in order to amend the City's Salary Schedule that updates must be made via Resolution. NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The salary ranges for the City job classifications as set forth in Exhibit "A" which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, are adopted on June 2, 2026 and are effective as of July 1, 2026; and, Section 2. Resolution No. 2026-27 is hereby amended, restated, and superseded and replaced by this resolution to reflect updated salary ranges for all full- time employees represented by the Rancho Palos Verdes Employee Association and Unrepresented (Management and employees, includin the Citp Confidential) g y Manager, based on a three percent (3%) COLA effective July 1, 2026; and, Section 3.
