Draft 2026 City Council Assignments (page A-1) B. Draft 2026 City Council Redlined Assignments (page B-1) C. List of City Council assignment criteria (page C-1) BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION: City Councilmembers represent the City on various intergovernmental agencies and associations that consider policy and legislation that directly affect the City. In addition, City Council members serve on City Council Ad Hoc and Standing Subcommittees. Assignments to these organizations, associations, and committees have traditionally been made after the annual City Council reorganization and selection of the Mayor in December of each year. Following the December 2, 2025 City Council reorganization, the current list of assignments was sent to all City Councilmembers so that each would have the 1 CITYOF RANCHO PALOS VERDES opportunity to identify the ones that align with their interests, review their meeting dates and times, along with any Form 700 requirements (Attachment C). At this time, Staff recommend selecting two Councilmembers to these organizations, associations, and committees to ensure the City has representation on each. After the appointments are made, Staff will notify each of the agencies regarding the decisions. Attached for the Council’s consideration is the proposed draft 2026 City Council Assignments (Attachment A) and a redlined version based on the 2025 Council Assignments (Attachment B). It should be noted that Staff member, Associate Planner Robert Nemeth, attends the LAX Community Noise Roundtable meetings. Additionally, the City Manager and Deputy City Manager attend the Peninsula Regional Law Enforcement Committee and Peninsula Public Safety Committee meetings with the City Council delegates assigned to that organization. 2 2026 CITY COUNCIL ASSIGNMENTS ORGANIZATION DELEGATE/ALTERNATE** Calif.
