CC SR 20250218 F - Gifts for Parks CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: 02/18/2025 AGENDA REPORT AGENDA HEADING: Consent Calendar AGENDA TITLE: Consideration and possible action to accept Gifts for Parks donations. RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION: (1) Accept Gifts for Parks donations, and direct Staff to prepare donor letters of appreciation for the Mayor’s signature. FISCAL IMPACT: The donations are included in the adopted budget for FY 2024 -25 and will be offset by expenditures required for the intended purpose of the donations. Any remaining donations will be tracked in the donation account until fully expended. Donations, as prescribed by law, are tax-deductible as charitable contributions. The City has received a total of $54,533 in donations between September 1, 2024 and January 31, 2025. ALTERNATIVE ACTION: In addition to Staff recommendation, the following alternative actions are available for the City Council’s consideration: 2 1. Do not accept one or more Gifts for Parks donations. 2. Take other action, as deemed appropriate. 3
