(2) New electrical supply from the electrical panel from PVIC Reception storeroom into the two external restroom areas, including pathways, breaker, and conductors. Reference Contractor document Ambit EWO#4 for more details. Justification No hot water infrastructure was provided in the original contract plans for the exterior bathrooms. For proper sanitation for staff and visitors, this is a required feature for all PVIC restrooms. As detailed above, this additional work was not accounted for on the original contract plans/specifications or the contractor’s associated bid. Therefore, a change order is needed to account for the change to the plans/specifications and the associated additional cost. Cost Analysis An independent estimate of the effort required to provide power to the restrooms and install tankless water heaters was made. The estimate was based on the actual time taken for the work performed and the cost of materials independently researched. The proposal received from Ambit was 1% more than the Sunbeam estimate. Therefore, Sunbeam recommends acceptance of the proposal. Schedule Analysis No additional time was for the work was requested and none given.
