I lose my internet quite often. My internet download speed varies between 40 Mps and 200 Mps. Last Friday (April 29th) my download rate was 41.1 Mps. About 6 months ago, my DVR was not functioning properly. During the playback the picture was quite often full of static lines. There were wide horizontal lines where the picture was missing and the picture jumped around. The voice also got distorted. This happens on just about every recording. Now it also happens on live broadcasting. I called Cox Technical Support on a few occasions and they told me to exchange it for another unit. I did and had to reprogram everything, but it worked the same way. I got tired of calling Cox. The cost to use Cox keeps increasing all the time. We pay $221.00 a month for internet and TV service. We do not use Cox for our land line because it is expensive. We use OOMA and pay less than $6.00 per month and with that we get very inexpensive foreign calling. My suggestion to Cox would be to stop spending their money on Cox2 as shown on page 10 of the Staff report where they boast about completing a number of ground breaking projects demonstrating end to end T solutions. Before they continue this path, they should concentrate 1 3. on providing better service to every home in RPV with their basic services. 2 MEMORANDUM TO: FROM: DATE: SUBJECT: HONORABLE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL ARA MIHRANIAN, CITY MANAGER May 2, 2022 MODIFICATION TO STAFF RECOMMENDATION FOR CONSIDERATION OF PURCHASE OF ALPR TRAILERS Staff Coordinator: McKenzie Bright, Administrative Analyst The City Council is scheduled to consider purchasing two solar-powered Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) mobile trailers at the meeting on May 3, 2022.
