Hello Mr. Varend,
Thank you for your email and observation. You are correct that Burma Gate was damaged both in July
and September of 2021. We will add this information.

I am not sure where to send this feedback, but I’d like to offer a correction to the status comment
regarding the gate at the Burma Road trailhead. This gate has not been operational since July 3, 2021
when it was seriously damaged by a suspected vandal. This damage was never repaired. The date
mentioned in the report, September 2021, is when the remainder of the gate/fence was destroyed by
an out-of-control vehicle. The comment on the goal status should be updated to reflect the July date
where shown in the attached photo. Also attached is a photo taken July 3 following the suspected
vandalism. Thank you.

Hi Ruth. Your revision is a little shorter than my revision. I added "multi‐language" to your text. One of the key
things that is no longer in the goal is "multiple modes of communication" which is important, yet the length of
the goal needed to be shortened. The Council still might request it to be shorter than the revisions. We will
see at the meeting.
Jesse, please have the following text available to bring up on a screen share during the meeting if necessary.
We will play it by ear and see how it goes during discussion.
Improve resident safety during an emergency by 1) doubling the number of residents registered for Alert SB and MyRPV
and 2) mailing all residents a city‐developed guide that ensures residents know a) their Evacuation Zone, b) closest Safe
Refuge, and c) where to obtain current reliable multi‐language information, both with and without commercial power.

Jesse and Larry,
After hearing that our EPC proposed City Goal was too long, I took a cut at reducing its word count:
Improve resident safety during an emergency by 1) doubling the number of residents registered for Alert SB
and MyRPV and 2) mailing all residents a city‐developed guide that ensures residents know a) their Evacuation
Zone, b) closest Safe Refuge, and c) where to obtain current reliable information, both with and without
