List of applicants (page A-1) BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION: Recruitment began in July 2021 for two seats on the Civic Center Advisory Committee (CCAC) with terms of office ending in June 2024. The recruitment for the CCAC was advertised and posted according to City Council Policy No. 6. As of this writing, the City has received a total of four applications: two from committee members whose terms are expiring and two from residents interested in serving. At the conclusion of the recruitment period on July 30, 2021, if more applications are received, Staff will update the staff report on the City’s website and will provide the applications to the City Council. The City Council will conduct interviews of applicants on August 3, 2021, and will be asked to make the appointments that same evening during the regular meeting. Ballots will be distributed prior to the commencement of the City Council meeting on August 3, 2021, listing the applicants for the Councilmembers to cast their votes. Staff will 1 tally the votes and in compliance with the Brown Act, the City Clerk will read each Councilmember’s ballot into the record at the meeting and declare the member appointed to the CCAC.
