Recruitment began in July 2021 for two seats on the Civic Center Advisory Committee

The recruitment for the CCAC was advertised and posted according to City Council Policy
No. 6. As of this writing, the City has received a total of four applications: two from
committee members whose terms are expiring and two from residents interested in
serving. At the conclusion of the recruitment period on July 30, 2021, if more applications
are received, Staff will update the staff report on the City’s website and will provide the
applications to the City Council. The City Council will conduct interviews of applicants on
August 3, 2021, and will be asked to make the appointments that same evening during
the regular meeting.
Ballots will be distributed prior to the commencement of the City Council meeting on
August 3, 2021, listing the applicants for the Councilmembers to cast their votes. Staff will
1
tally the votes and in compliance with the Brown Act, the City Clerk will read each
Councilmember’s ballot into the record at the meeting and declare the member
appointed to the CCAC.
If desired, the City Council could dire ct staff to extend the recruitment period by
