REGULAR MEETING
SEPTEMBER 28, 2021
CALL TO ORDER:
A Regular meeting of the Rancho Palos Verdes Planning Commission was called to order by Chair
Perestam at 7:02 P.M. at Fred Hesse Community Park, McTaggart Hall, 29301 Hawthorne
Boulevard. This meeting took place remotely in accordance with Government Code Section
54953(e) et seq. (AB 361). Members of the public could observe and participate using the zoom
participation feature, in person, and with options called out in the public participation form
provided under separate cover with the agenda. Notice having been given with affidavit thereto
on file.
Planning Commission roll call was answered as follows:
Present: Chura, James, Hamill, Saadatnejadi, Santarosa and Chair Perestam
Absent: Leon
Also present were Director of Community Development Rukavina, Deputy Director Silva, Senior
Planner Yoon, and City Attorney Gerli.

Commissioner James moved, seconded by Commissioner Santarosa, to approve the Consent
Calendar. The motion passed on a vote of 6-0.

Senior Planner Yoon presented the staff report providing the Planning Commission background
on the proposed project.
Discussion ensued among Planning Commission Members and staff.
Chair Perestam opened the public hearing.
The following members of the public addressed the Planning Commission: Yvonne Tso and David
Chiang

COMMISSIONER JAMES MOVED, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER SAADATNEJADI TO ADOPT P.C.
RESOLUTION NO. 2021-16: APPROVING, WITH CONDITIONS, A HEIGHT VARIATION PERMIT AND
SITE PLAN REVIEW FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 522 FT² ADDITION TO AN EXISTING TWO -
STORY RESIDENCE MEASURING 23.20 FEET IN HEIGHT AND ANCILLARY SITE IMPROVEMENTS AT
29826 KNOLL VIEW DRIVE. THE MOTION PASSED ON A VOTE OF 6-0.
