(1) Accept Gifts for Parks donations and direct Staff to prepare donor letters of
appreciation for the Mayor’s signature.

BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION:
The City’s Gifts for Parks Program, established in 1982, provides a means by which
interested individuals, organizations, and/or businesses may contribute funds or
merchandise for the enhancement of the City’s Recreation and Parks facilities and
programs. Donations, as prescribed by law, are tax deductible as charitable
contributions.
The City has received the following donations from October 1, 2018 through December
30, 2018:
Interpretive Center Amphitheatre Plaques ($1,500)
• Alisa Arnold in memory of May Schwartz
• Kaja Perina in memory of her father
• Young J. Park in memory of Rev. Chul Moon and Mrs. Sul Ok Moon
