BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION:
The City Selection meeting for Los Angeles County is scheduled for Thursday, January
31, 2019, at 6:00 P.M. at the Metro offices (3rd Floor Board Room) at 1 Gateway Plaza,
Los Angeles, CA 90012. City participation is very important in voting for a number of
offices, including the Metro Board of Directors. The voting designee can be either the
Mayor or a City Councilmember.
This year Mayor Duhovic (Delegate) has been assigned by the City Council as the
Voting Delegate. Unfortunately, the Mayor is unable to attend this meeting and
therefore in order to vote at the meeting, a Councilmember must be designated as a
voting delegate. Once the appointment is made, the City Clerk will provide the
information to the Committee prior to the meeting to ensure the ability to vote on matters
on the agenda.
