~At November 30,2010 meeting,RPV City Council voted to give notice
to Torrance Transit of intent to withdraw RPV from MAX 2
participation
~Reasons (from Financial Analyst's report presented at meeting)
•Anticipated $50000 annual shortfall in transit funds due to Prop A revenue
shortfall
•Disproportionate share of expenses per Financial Analyst's report
-$109179 annually for participation
-16%share of contribution from all participating cities
-vs.estimated 3.7%ridership from MAX boarding statistics
•Anticipated extra annual cost of $29307 during FY2011-2013 (two years)for bus
refurbishment
•Anticipated extra annual cost of $69060 during FY2014-2018 (five years)for fleet
replacement

•List consists of 54 people (47 RPV,2 PVE,5 RHE)
•Average ridership percentage is 58.7%per rider estimates
•Average daily number of riders =32
•Bus capacity =26
~Equivalent number of boardings in morning per year =8320 (7173
RPV vs.3912 from October 2009 boarding statistics)
•6.7%vs.3.7%from boarding statistics
o buses per day needed for current riders (two in the morni
toward EI Segundo,two in the evening coming back)
