DECEMBER 17, 2013
FOLLOW-UP COUNCIL TRAINING
CAROLYN LEHR, CITY MANAGER
RECOMMENDATION
Determine if the Council desires to finish the Leadership training with the California
Joint Powers Insurance Authority, and select a date for that training.
DISCUSSION
On December 2, 2013, City Manager Lehr received an email from Bob May, Risk
Management Program Manager, California Joint Powers Insurance Authority (CJPIA)
which is attached. He requested that she check with the Council, now that the election
is over and the makeup of the Council is unchanged, on the desire to finish the
Leadership training which was begun on October 5, 2013. He anticipated the follow-up
training would take approximately 4 hours to complete. If the Council desires to
complete the training, a date should be selected for a workshop type of meeting for that
purpose.

Hi Carolyn,
Now that the election is over and the makeup of the Council has not changed, can you
check with the Council on their desire to finish the Leadership training. It should take
another 4 hours or so to complete.
Thanks,
Bob
