BACKGROUND The City's Gifts for Parks Program, established in 1982, provides a means by which interested individuals, organizations, and/or businesses may contribute funds or merchandise for the enhancement of the City's Recreation and Parks facilities and programs. Donations, as prescribed by law, are tax deductible as charitable contributions. DISCUSSION The City has received the following donations from September 4, 2013 through December 31, 2013 Point Vicente Interpretive Center Whale Walk Plaques ($2,500) • Eileen Kurucz: In memory of Nancy Pierce • Ronald Sommer: Ronald M.
