Appoint Chairs for five of the six City Advisory Boards (Emergency Preparedness
Committee, Finance Advisory Committee, Planning Commission, Storm Drain User Fee

In February and March 2015, staff notified the members of five of the City Advisory Boards
that it was time to consider the appointment of a new Chair to the respective boards. The
IMAC was not included for Chair appointment at this, since the Members and Chair of the
Infrastructure Management Advisory Committee (IMAC) were selected less than 5 months
ago, on October 21, 2014.
The current Chairs of the five Advisory Boards were appointed on the following dates:

As only one member from each of the five Advisory Boards has indicated a desire to be
considered as Chair of that board for 2015, staff suggests that Council forego interviews
and consider the appointments of the following:
Advisory Board Interested In Chair Position
Emergency Preparedness Committee
Diana Feinberg
Finance Advisory Committee
John Stillo
Planning Commission
Robert "Bob" Nelson
Storm Drain User Fee Committee
Elizabeth Sala
Traffic Safety Committee

As an alternative, if Council prefers to interview those interested in serving as Chair to the
respective boards, staff can arrange interviews with the full Council.
