Consideration and possible action to authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of
Completion for the Abalone Cove Sewer System Cleaning, Inspection and Reporting
FY16-17 Project.
RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION:
(1) Accept the work as complete; and,
(2) Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion with the Los Angeles
County Registrar -Recorder's Office.
FISCAL IMPACT: The final cost of the work was $55,307 and was completed on
budget.

The Abalone Cove Sewer System cleaning and inspection is performed periodically as
part of our duties to ensure that the system operates appropriately, complies with State
regulations and complies with the adopted Rancho Palos Verdes Sewer System
Management Plan. The project's scope of work included the cleaning and video
inspection of 72 manholes, 14,220 linear feet of sanitary sewer and 4 lift stations (pump
stations).
The construction project was authorized by the City Council on December 6, 2016, and
successfully completed on February 24, 2017. Performance Pipeline Technologies
completed the work in accordance with the specifications and within budget for a total
construction cost of $55,307. Therefore, the work should be accepted as complete and
a Notice of Completion filed.
