Consideration and Possible Action Authorizing a Change Order to Increase the Contract Limit with Hardy and Harper, Inc. for FY16-17 and Appropriate Funds to Cover Expenditures Incurred from the Recent Winter Storms (Carrasco) Recommendation: Authorize an increase of $137,000 to the Roadway Maintenance Contract FY16-17 with Hardy & Harper, Inc. to accommodate the additional work associated with recent winter storms. M. Consideration and Possible Action to Award a Construction Contract for the Pedestrian Safe Bus Stop Linkage on Hawthorne Boulevard Project No. 018515, Federal Project No. CML-5413(013) and Appropriation of Funds to Complete the Project (Carrasco) Recommendation: 1) Approve the plans and specifications for the Pedestrian Safe Bus Stop Linkage on Hawthorne Boulevard Project No. 018515, Federal Project No. CML-5413(013); 2) Award a construction contract to California Landscape & Design, Inc. in the amount of $1,296,039.65; 3) Award a Professional Services Agreement to Willdan Engineering for Construction Management and Inspection Services in the amount of $155,980; 4) Award a Professional Services Agreement to Sunbeam Consulting for Construction Oversight Services in the amount of $22,400; 5) Direct Staff to request the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority allocate an additional $230,836 of Proposition A funds for this project; 6) Authorize an appropriation of $153,233 from the Quimby Fee fund; and, 7) Authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the Construction and Professional Services Agreements; subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney.
