Recommendation:
1) Accept the work as complete; and, 2) Authorize the City
Clerk to file a Notice of Completion with the Los Angeles County Registrar-
Recorder’s Office.
L. Consideration and Possible Action Authorizing a Change Order to Increase the
Contract Limit with Hardy and Harper, Inc. for FY16-17 and Appropriate Funds to
Cover Expenditures Incurred from the Recent Winter Storms (Carrasco)
Recommendation:
Authorize an increase of $137,000 to the Roadway
Maintenance Contract FY16-17 with Hardy & Harper, Inc. to accommodate the
additional work associated with recent winter storms.
M. Consideration and Possible Action to Award a Construction Contract for the
Pedestrian Safe Bus Stop Linkage on Hawthorne Boulevard Project No. 018515,
Federal Project No. CML-5413(013) and Appropriation of Funds to Complete the
Project (Carrasco)
Recommendation:
1) Approve the plans and specifications for the Pedestrian Safe
Bus Stop Linkage on Hawthorne Boulevard Project No. 018515, Federal Project No.
CML-5413(013); 2) Award a construction contract to California Landscape &
Design, Inc. in the amount of $1,296,039.65; 3) Award a Professional Services
Agreement to Willdan Engineering for Construction Management and Inspection
Services in the amount of $155,980; 4) Award a Professional Services Agreement
to Sunbeam Consulting for Construction Oversight Services in the amount of
$22,400; 5) Direct Staff to request the Los Angeles County Metropolitan
Transportation Authority allocate an additional $230,836 of Proposition A funds for
this project; 6) Authorize an appropriation of $153,233 from the Quimby Fee fund;
and, 7) Authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the Construction and
Professional Services Agreements; subject to approval as to form by the City
Attorney.

administering the City’s regulations pertaining to barking dog noise complaints
pursuant to RPVMC Section 6.04.060 (Animal Control - Disturbing the Peace
Prohibited); and, 2) Direct Staff to continue contracting with Los Angeles County
Animal Control for administration of the City’s Animal Ordinance, and do not include
barking dog noise complaints in the proposed Citywide Noise Control Ordinance.
