CC RES 2015-111 RESOLUTION NO. 2015-111
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
PALOS VERDES, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NOS. 2007-
45 AND 2011-62 AND ADOPTING REVISIONS TO THE MANAGEMENT
EMPLOYEE PERSONNEL RULES.
WHEREAS, on January 31, 2002 the City Council adopted the City's
Management Personnel Rules and Procedures; and
WHEREAS, on August 2, 2011 the City Council amended the City's
Management Personnel Rules and Procedures, and
WHEREAS, the City Council now desires to amend the City's
Management Employee Personnel Rules to reflect new benefit changes for the
Management and Confidential Group effective January 1, 2016.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
PALOS VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Management Employee Personnel Rules are amended as
follows:
Subsection (a), Section 1, of Rule V, Leaves, titled "Vacation Leave" is
amended to state "Effective January 1, 2016, for the purposes of this subsection,
and at the discretion of the City Manager, Length of Employment may include
years of service for time served in the public/government sector. Employees are
entitled to accrue paid vacation leave under the following schedule:"
Rule V Leaves, Section 2 titled "Administrative Leave" is amended to state
"In addition to an employee's earned vacation leave, each employee with the title
of Director or Deputy Director may be granted up to eighty (80) hours of
administrative leave, and each other employee covered by these Rules may be
granted up to sixty-two (62) hours of administrative leave off per fiscal year at the
sole discretion of the City Manager."
Rule XI Miscellaneous Procedures is amended to add Section 3,
Subsection (c), which states: "The City Manager has authorization to grant leave
for exceptional performance in lieu of cash payments for those in the
Management and Confidential Group effective January 1, 2016."
Rule XI Miscellaneous Procedures is amended to add Section 4 titled
"401(a) Defined Contribution" which states: "Effective January 1, 2016, the City
will contribute into a 401(a) defined contribution plan a 1% match for those
Management and Confidential employees not in the 2.5% @ 55 retirement tier."
