amount shall not be deemed a waiver of CITY's right to challenge such amount.
Additionally, in the event CITY fails to pay any undisputed amounts due
CONSULTANT within forty-five (45) days after invoices are received by CITY then CITY
agrees that CONSULTANT shall have the right to consider the default a total breach of

which may then exist on the part of CONSULTANT, and the making of any such payment
by CITY shall in no way impair or prejudice any right or remedy available to CITY with
regard to such breach or default.

Mr. Ron Dragoo, Principal Engineer
City of Rancho Palos Verdes
Public Works Department
30940 Hawthorne Boulevard
Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275-5391
Attention: Pam Mitchell, Administrative Staff Assistant
Subject: Statement of Qualifications for On-Call Services
Dear Mr. Dragoo:
In accordance with your Request for Qualifications, we are pleased to submit our qualifications to provide On-Call
Engineering Services for Public Works Department.
SA Associates was established in May, 1989, and is a principal-owned engineering firm with services specializing
in planning, design, program management, construction management, and inspection. We provide complete civil
engineering services for municipalities, public and private water agencies, sanitary districts, and flood control
districts. We are committed to engineering excellence and principal involvement. The size of our firm allows us to
provide personalized service to our clients.
SA Associates is classified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) by Caltrans and other agencies. We
are also classified as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) by local, state,
and federal agencies.
SA Associates has extensive experience in design and construction of water, sewer, storm drain, and street
facilities. We have been responsible for the design and construction of over 33 miles of streets for a construction
cost of approximately $81 million, over 162 miles of sewer and storm drain lines for a construction cost of
approximately$40 million, and over$110 million of construction management and inspection projects.
1 We provided construction inspection services on an as-needed basis to the City of Rancho Palos Verdes from
1997 to 2003 and from November of 2013 to May of 2014. We also provided construction management and
construction inspection services for the City's FY 2001-02 Residential Street Overlay and Slurry Seal Project.
During that time, we have developed a good working relationship with the City and inspected a variety of projects.
In addition, we prepared the Infrastructure Report Card in 2014. We are, therefore, very familiar with the policies,
procedures, and personnel of the City.
1 We would like to be considered for Design, Construction Management, and Inspection opportunities.
We thank you for the opportunity and hope our proposal meets your interest and approval. Should you have any
questions or require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the undersigned.
Very truly yours,
