A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES APPROVING A
TWO YEAR EXTENSION OF CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
NO. 107.
WHEREAS, the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District
has made application to allow a variety of educational,
community, and youth organization related uses to utilize the
Pedregal School at 6069 Groveoak Place; and
WHEREAS, a hearing was held for the original Conditional Use
Permit No. 107 on July 8, 1986 and again on July 25, 1990, and
was approved by the Planning Commission for a period of two (2)
years.
WHEREAS, subsequent two year time extensions were granted by
the Planning Commission on July 14, 1988 and July 10, 1990; and
WHEREAS, a hearing was held on July 28, 1992 to consider
another time extension request.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO PALOS VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, AND RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the site is adequate to accommodate the
proposed uses.
Section 2: That the site is adequately served for access by
Grayslake Road and Grayslake Place.
Section 3: That there will be no adverse effects upon
adjacent properties by the subject uses.
Section 4: That the proposed uses are not contrary to the
General Plan.
Section 5: For the foregoing reasons, and based on
information and findings included in the staff report and
evidence presented at the public hearing, the Planning Commission
of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby approves a two year
extension of Conditional Use Permit No. 107 to allow a variety of
community, education, and youth organization related uses to
utilize the former elementary school site at 6069 Groveoak Place,
subject to conditions hereto attached as Exhibit "A".
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 28th day of July 1992.

PEDREGAL SCHOOL
6069 GROVEOAK
1. Any changes to the list of uses as submitted and
approved by the application shall be submitted to the
Environmental services Department for review and
approval by the Director. Said uses shall be scheduled
by time and nature of activity in order to create as
little overlap of parking demand as possible.
2. Participants at the various uses/activities shall be
encouraged by the applicant to utilize car pools
whenever possible.
3. The use of Pedregal School for a variety of
educational, community, and youth organization uses is
approved for a period of two (2) years, beginning from
this approval to July 28, 1994. Extensions may be
granted by the Planning Commission by written request
prior to the date of expiration.
4. The school ground shall be maintained in a clean and
orderly fashion.
5. The hours of operation shall be from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00
p.m.
6. All potential lessees and/or sub -lessees shall be
reviewed and approved by the Director of Environmental
Services, and if deemed necessary, obtain Planning
Commission approval.
7. This approval may be revoked by the Director of
Environmental Services should any of the above
conditions not be carried in a manner that is found to
be inconsistent with the required conditions.
