NO. 92 - 28 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES, APPROVING REVISION "All TO CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 58 TO ALLOW BALCONIES ON CERTAIN LOTS IN TRACT 39673. WHEREAS, Kurt and Ilse Oetiker have requested Revision "All to Conditional Use Permit No. 58, Tract 39673 to allow for balconies on Models A, C and D in a Residential Planned Development (RPD) located southwest of the intersection of Beachview Drive and Coastsite Drive, which is zoned Residential Single Family (RS -4);, and WHEREAS, the request for the revision was heard by the Planning Commission on February 25, 1992, and April 15, 1992. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The sites of Models A, C, and D are adequate for balcony additions described and subject to the conditions of approval enumerated in Exhibit "A," which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. Section 2: The aforementioned balcony additions would be in conformance with the Coastal Specific Plan and the General Plan. Section 3: For the foregoing reasons, the Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby grants Revision A to Conditional Use Permit No. 58, for the use described herein, subject to the conditions contained in Exhibit "All attached hereto, which are necessary to protect the public health, safety, and general welfare in the area. Cobert Katherman, Chal Carolynr'*)Petru, Acting Director of Environmental Services EXHIBIT "A" CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 58, REVISION "All Conditional Use Permit No. 58 is revised to allow rear yard balconies on Models A, C, and D subject to the following conditions: 1. Balconies shall be a maximum 12 feet in height, as measured from the adjacent grade to the top of the balcony. The height of the handrail shall be governed by the Uniform Building code specifications in effect at the time the structure is built. 2. The material, finish and color of the support members, flooring and handrails for all balconies shall be reviewed and approved by the Director of Environmental Services prior to issuance of the building permit. 3. No part of the balcony additions may extend beyond the area created by the intersection of the most exterior building wall lines or the most exterior eavelines, whichever is greater. 4. The existing eavelines shall not be extended in any manner, nor shall the balconies or the patio area under the balconies be enclosed. The balcony may not be covered in any manner. P.C.
