A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES APPROVING VARIANCE
NO. 3094v TO ALLOW AN EXISTING 11 FOOT HIGH WALL
LOCATED AT THE FRONT OF THE PROPERTY AT 6895
ALTA VISTA DRIVE.
WHEREAS, the applicants, Mr. and Mrs.'Bernard Weinstein, have
requested a Variance to allow for an existing 11 foot high,
concrete block wall located at the front of the property; and
WHEREAS, notice was issued pursuant to the provisions of the
Rancho Palos Verdes Development Code, a public hearing was held on
November 12, 1991, at which time all interested parties were given
an opportunity to be heard and present evidence;
NOW, -THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
PALOS VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the Variance should be granted based on
administrative error since the Environmental Services Department
approved site plans for a Grading request which included an
unspecified wall height, detailed plans were subsequently approved
through the Building and Safety Division's plan check process, and
the subject wall was inspected and finalled by an Inspector,
resulting in an over -height wall.
Section 2: For the foregoing reasons, and based on the
information and findings provided in the Staff report, the
Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby
approves Variance No. 309 as submitted.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 12th day of November,
