RESOLUTION NO. 91-49 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES APPROVING OUTDOOR LIGHTING STANDARDS FOR MARYMOUNT COLLEGE AT 30800 PALOS VERDES DRIVE EAST. WHEREAS, ON April 17, 1991, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 90-20, approving the CUP NO. 9 Revision "C" with conditions allowing the outdoor.lighting standards in excess of ten feet in height required Planning Commission approval; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on September 24, 1991, at which time all interested parties were given an opportunity to be heard and present evidence; and WHEREAS, Marymount Palos Verdes College has requested approval of outdoor light standards up to 14 in height as measured from finished grade. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND, AND DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: That in approving the lighting standards, there will be no significant adverse effect on adjacent properties, subject to the conditions of approval in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. Section 2: For the foregoing reasons and based on the information and findings in the Staff Report, the Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes does hereby approve the outdoor light standards for Marymount College. Parking lot light standards shall not exceed 14' as measured from finished grade; except for the four standards along the north property line which face San Ramon which shall be reduced to a maximum of 10' as measured from finished grade. All light standards shall have adequate shielding to protect against glare and spillover on adjacent properties. 2. All other conditions of the original CUP NO. 9 and subsequent approvals shall remain in effect. 3. Trash receptacles shall be installed along Palos Verdes Drive East, in the locations specified by Site Plan Review No. 5863, within thirty days of this approval. 4. The College shall submit a revised trip reduction and management plan equivalent to standards of Rule 15 of the Southern California Air Quality Management District Regulations by October 17, 1991. 5. A°lighting program which specifies the time in which the exterior light standards will be turned on and off, shall be approved by the Director of Environmental Services. 6. The four wall packs on the North side of the Day Care Center facing Palos Verdes Drive East shall be removed or modified to provide shielding from glare or spillover on adjacent residential properties. 7.
