A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE
PERMIT NO. 165 FOR A 960 SQUARE FOOT ADDITION LOCATED
AT 5300 CREST ROAD.
WHEREAS, the Daughters of Mary and Joseph have requested
a Conditional Use Permit for a 960 square foot addition to an
existing house located at 5300 Crest Road;,and
WHEREAS, after notice pursuant to the Development Code,
a public hearing was held by the Planning Commission on
Tuesday, September 10, 1991, at which time all interested
parties were given the opportunity to give testimony and
present evidence.
NOW, THEREFORE THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO PALOS VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the sub)ect site is adequate in size
and shape to accommodate the intended use. The use has
existed since prior to the City's incorporation and is
consistent with the property's zoning classification.
Section 2: That the site is serviced by Crest Road
whose capacity is adequate to serve the site and the existing
use.,
Section 3: That there will be no significant adverse
effects on adjacent properties in approving the request for
the increase to the existing house.
Section 4: That the approval of Conditional Use Permit
No. 165 will not be contrary to the objectives of the General
Plan in that the existing use complies with the General Plan
and zoning land use designations. ,
Section 5: For the foregoing reasons and based on
information and findings in the Staff Report, the Planning
Commission of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes does hereby
approve Conditional Use Permit No. 165 subject to the
conditions contained in Exhibit "All attached hereto and made
a part hereof, which are necessary to preserve the public
health, safety, and general welfare in the area.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 10th day of September
1991.

That the addition not exceed 13 feet, 9 inches, or the
height of the existing ridgeline, in height.
2) That the applicants, prior to issuance of building
permits, submit a "Covenant to Protect Views" to the
