PC RES 1990-048P.C. RESOLUTION NO. 90-48 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES APPROVING A REVISION TO SIGN PERMIT NO. 368 FOR "THE TERRACES" LOCATED AT 28901 WESTERN AVENUE. WHEREAS, BPT (South Bay) Associates has requested approval of a revision to Sign Permit No. 368 to revise the sign program adopted by the Planning Commission for Conditional Use Permit No. 101 for "The Terraces" located at 28901 Western Avenue; and WHEREAS, hearings were held on February 27 and August 28, 1990 at which time all interested parties were given an opportunity to be heard and present evidence. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: That the granting of the revision to Sign Permit No. 368 will not be contrary to the objectives of Specific Plan II or of the General Plan in that the proposed use complies with Specific Plan II, the General Plan and the Development Code standards. Section 2: That the granting of the revision to the sign program will serve to identify the general nature of "The Terraces" shopping center and provide more signage to the Level "C" tenants whose store front signs are not visible from Western Avenue. The signs will direct attention to a produce, activity, place, person, organization, or enterprise and will not subject the citizens of the City to excessive competition for their visual attention. Section 3: For the foregoing reasons, the Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes does hereby approve the revision to Sign Permit No. 368, subject to the conditions of approval attached in Exhibit "A". Conditions of P.C. Resolution No. 88-19 are revised to read: E. FREE STANDING PROJECT SIGNAGE E.1* GENERAL: a. Two (2) primary project site signs to be for project identification and each shall also have space for six (6) tenant identification panels visible from two (2) sides. The signs shall measure a maximum of 16 feet In i height and 13 feet _-- — in width. "The Terraces" project name and logo shall be placed at the top of the sign. (Signs "A" and "B") b.One (1) secondary project site sign to be for "The Terrace Cinema 6" tenant identificationwith six two-sided cinema identification panels.
