PC RES 1990-016P.C. RESOLUTION NO. 90-16
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES APPROVING AN
EXTENSION TO CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 132
TO ALLOW MULTIPLE USES TO OPERATE AT THE
MIRALESTE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL LOCATED AT 6245
VIA CANADA.
WHEREAS, on March 27, 1990, a hearing was held at which time
all interested parties were given an opportunity to be heard and
present evidence.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
PALOS VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The site is adequate to accommodate the existing
uses, since the site is 6 acres in size and the uses are not more
intense than the previous elementary school use.
Section 2: The site is adequately served for access by Palos
Verdes Drive East, Via Canada, and Picardie Road, and adequate on-
site and off-site stripped parking is provided.
Section 3: There will be no adverse effect upon adjacent
properties as the project has been conditioned to mitigate any
adverse impacts, and the uses are similar to the previous
elementary school use.
Section 4: The proposed uses are not contrary to the General
Plan, since they provide valuable community services at a
convenient location and allow community use of the grounds and
playing fields.
Section 5: For the foregoing reasons, the Planning Commission
of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby approves an extension to
Conditional Use Permit No. 132. This approval will now expire on
March 27, 1991. The approval is subject to the conditions in the
original Conditional Use Permit, P.C. Resolution No. 87-76 and the
additional conditions in the attached Exhibit "A", which are
necessary to protect the public health, safety, and welfare.
