P.C . RESOLUTION NO. 89-44
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES APPROVING
THE EXISTING SATELLITE DISH ANTENNA AT
3470 NEWRIDGE.
WHEREAS , on August 8 , 1989 , a hearing was held at which time
all interested parties were given an opportunity to be heard and
present evidence .
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
PALOS VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1 : That there is no reasonable alternative location
for the satellite dish antenna that would provide a reasonable
signal reception on the subject property at a height of sixteen
( 16) feet or less based on information in the Engineering report
contained in Exhibit "B" attached hereto .
Section 2 : That the existing satellite dish antenna is
substantially screened from view from all adjacent properties
including the public street and sidewalk, and such screening does
not preclude reasonable reception.
Section 3 : That the overall height of the satellite dish
antenna does not exceed 20 feet above grade .
Section 4: That the existing satellite dish antenna is not
located within the required front or street side setback.
Section 5 : The existing satellite dish antenna is designed
and situated in such a manner as to minimize view obstruction, as
it is totally out of site from all adjacent properties.
Section 6 : That the portion of the satellite dish antenna
over sixteen ( 16) feet does not impair any primary views .
Section 7 : That the proposed structure is not located on a
ridge or promontory.
Section 8 : The structure does not significantly impair a view
or vista from public property (parks , major thoroughfare ,
bikeways, equestrian trail , etc . ) which has been identified in the
City ' s General Plan, Coastal Specific Plan, or City-approved
viewing area.
Section 9 : That there is no significant cumulative impact
caused by granting the application.

Section 10: That after consideration of the appeal of Site
Plan Review application No. 5030 on August 8, 1989, the Planning
Commission hereby approves the existing satellite dish antenna at
3470 Newridge Drive subject to conditions contained in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED on August 8, 1989.

EXHIBIT "A"
1. A City Landscape Covenant to maintain property to protect
view is to be submitted prior to permit issuance.
2. Penalty fees for after the fact construction are to be paid
to Planning Department prior to permit issuance.
3. Satellite dish antenna is to be maintained in a color which
will blend with surroundings.
4. The existing vegetation on the property shall be maintained to
substantially screen the view of the dish from adjacent public
and private properties but shall not impact views.
