P. C. RESOLUTION NO. 89 - 25
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO
CONDITION NO. 7 OF CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 24,
TRACT NO. 33034, APPROVING A REDUCTION IN THE AMOUNT
OF COMMON OPEN SPACE AND DENYING AN ENTRY GATE.
WHEREAS, Palos Verdes Panorama Owners Association has
requested an amendment to Conditions No. 7, 2 and 11 of
Conditional Use Permit No. 24, Tract No. 33034, a reduction in the
amount of common open space and a Tract entry gate.
WHEREAS, after notice issued pursuant to the provisions of
the City's Development Code a public hearing was held on April 25,
1989, and May 9, 1989, at which time all interested parties were
given an opportunity to be heard and present evidence.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
PALOS VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the proposed amendment will still allow
access to the existing sanitary sewers and the Fire Department has
determined that emergency vehicular access is not feasible.
Section 2: That the reduction in the amount of common open
space is insignificant and the total amount of common open space
will still exceed the 30% minimum required in a Residential
Planned Development by 25%.
Section 3: That the requested entry gate is denied as it is
contrary to expressed City Council policy and would adversely
affect the public safety and welfare, and would preclude public
use of the street.
Section 4: For the foregoing reasons the Planning Commission
of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby grants an amendment to
Condition No. 7 of Conditional Use Permit No. 24, Tract No. 33034
allowing an easement for access to sanitary sewers only, reducing
the amount of common open space and denying an entry gate.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 9th day of May, 1989.

EXHIBIT "A"
Revision to Conditional Use Permit No. 24, Tract No. 33034, is
approved subject to the following conditions:
1. Condition No. 7, Exhibit "A", Resolution 77-14 is
amended to read as follows:
An access easement for sanitary sewer purposes only shall be
provided along the northern most property line. The existing
wrought iron fencing along the Calle de Suenos frontage may
remain, but may not be replaced with a solid concrete block
wall.
