PC RES 1987-065RESOLUTION P.C. NO. 87 - 65
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DENYING THE APPEAL
OF HEIGHT VARIATION NO. 508 THEREBY APPROVING
THE PROJECT AT 5319 LITTLEBOW ROAD.
WHEREAS, the Director of Environmental Services approved
Height Variation No. 508 for a second story addition located at
5319 Littlebow Road; and
WHEREAS, on September 4, 1987, Mr. and Mrs. Baumann filed an
appeal with the Planning Commission within 15 days of the decision
of the Director of Environmental Services; and
WHEREAS, on October 27, 1987, the Planning Commission heard
the appeal at which time all interested parties were given an
opportunity to be heard and present evidence.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
PALOS VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the proposed addition is designed and
situated in such a manner as to minimize view obstruction since
increase in the existing ridgeline of the main house does not
impair a primary view.
Section 2: That any view impairment for the portion of the
proposed addition over sixteen feet high does not significantly
impair the primary view from the four properties to the south of
the subject lot which were identified as having a view over the
subject parcel as set forth in the City's Development Code.
Section 3: That there is no significant cumulative impact
caused by granting the application.
Section 4: That after consideration of the appeal of Height
Variation No. 508 on October 27, 1987, the Planning Commission
denied the appeal and thereby upheld staff approval of the project
at 5319 Littlebow Road, subject to the conditions of approval
contained in Exhibit "A".
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED on this 10th day of November,
1987.
