RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES APPROVING GRADING APPLICATION
NO. 1042 AT 1927 UPLAND STREET.
WHEREAS, Avadesh Agarwal has requested a Grading Application
to grade 83 cubic yards of earth at 1927 Upland Street.
WHEREAS, after notice pursuant to the City's Development
Code, a hearing was held on September 8, 1987, at which time all
interested parties were given an opportunity to be heard and
present evidence.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
PALOS VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the grading is not contrary to the intent of
the Grading Section 17.050.070 of the City's Development Code
since it does not cause any negative impacts on the public health,
safety and general welfare.
Section 2: That the granting of the Grading Application will
not be contrary to the objectives of the General Plan, since the
grading and retaining walls are remedial and will not negatively
impact the visual quality of the area.
Section 3: That a Minor Exception Permit for a combined
height of a fence, wall, or hedge not to exceed eleven and one
half feet as measured from the grade on the lower side and not to
exceed six feet as measured from grade on the higher side is
applied for and approved,or redesign.
Section 4: For the foregoing reasons, the Planning
Commission of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby approves
Grading Permit No. 1042.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 8th day of September, 1987.
