A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DENYING THE
APPEAL OF HEIGHT VARIATION NO. 488 THEREBY
APPROVING THE PROJECT AT 2117 CADDINGTON DR.
WHEREAS, the Director of Environmental Services approved
Height Variation No. 488 for a second story addition located
at 2117 Caddington Drive; and
WHEREAS, on April 30, 1987, Mr. and Mrs. Ciro Coppa
filed an appeal to the Planning Commission within 15 days of
the decision of the Director of Environmental Services; and
WHEREAS, on June 9, 1987, the Planning Commission
considered the appeal of Height Variation No. 488 at which
time all interested parties were given an opportunity to be
heard and present evidence.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO PALOS VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The proposed structure is designed and
situated in such a manner as to minimize view obstruction.
Section 2: View impairment for the portion of the
proposed addition over sixteen feet high does not
significantly impair the primary view from 2117 Caddington
which was not identified as having a view as set forth inrthe
City's Development Code.
Section 3: The proposed structure is not located on a
ridge or promontory.
Section 4: The structure does not significantly impair a
view or vista from public property (parks, major
thoroughfare, bikeways, walkways, equestrian trails, etc.)
which has been identified in the City's General Plan, Coastal
Pian, or City -approved viewing areas.
Section 5: There is no significant cumulative impact
caused by granting the application.

Section 6: That after consideration of the appeal of
Height Variation No. 488 on June 9, 1987, the Planning
Commission denied the appeal and thereby approved the project
at 2117 Caddington.
PASSED, APPROVED, ADOPTED on June 9, 1987.
