A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO PALOS VERDES APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT f91.
WHEREAS, the P.V. UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT has made application
to allow Temple Beth El and Center, Harbor Foundation for the Retarded,
and other assorted uses to utilize the Miraleste Elementary School
at 6245 Via Canada; and
WHEREAS, after public hearings were held on July 24, and
August 14, 1984, at which time all interested parties were given
an opportunity to be heard and present evidence.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
PALOS VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The site is adequate to accommodate the proposed
uses.
Section 2: The site is adequately served for access and
parking by Palos Verdes Drive East, Via Canada, and Picardie.
Section 3: There will be no adverse effects upon adjacent
properties.
Section 4: The proposed uses are not contrary to
the General Plan.
Section 5: For the foregoing reasons, the Planning Commission
of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby approves Conditional Use Permit
No. 91; sub3ect to conditions contained in Exhibit A, attached hereto.

EXHIBIT A RESOLUTION NO. P.C. 84-23
SAID RESOLUTION IS APPROVED SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
1. The applicant shall submit a plan for the restriping
of the parking lot of Miraleste Elementary School for approval by the
Environmental Services Department.
2. The applicant shall provide the City with a list of all
uses to occur at the school site as well as all appropriate schedules at the
beginning of the subject uses. Upon any proposed changes to the above list/
schedule, the School District shall submit said changes to the Environmental
Services Department for review and approval by the Director. Said uses are
to be scheduled by time and nature of activity so as to create as little
overlap of parking demand as possible.
3. Participants of the various uses/activities shall be
encouraged by the applicant to utilize car pools whenever possible.
4. Lease agreements shall stipulate that all overflow parking
shall utilize parking facilities located at Miraleste High School.
5. The use of the Miraleste Elementary School by Temple Beth
El and Center is approved for a period of one (1) year, beginning from the
date of occupation but no later than September 1, 1985. The P.V. Unified
School District shall inform the Environmental Services Department of the
date of occupation. Any extensions must be granted by the Planning
Commission prior to the date of expiration.
6. The use of the school facility for the Harbor Foundation for
the Retarded is approved from September 1, 1984 through August 31, 1985. Any
extension must be granted by the Planning Commission prior to expiration.
7. The school grounds shall be maintained in a clean and
orderly fashion.
8. All potential sub-lessees shall be reviewed and approved by
the Director of Environmental Services, and if deemed necessary, obtain
approval from the Planning Commission.
9. All weekday uses shall terminate activity no later than
10 p.m.
10. This approval may be revoked by the Director of Environmental
Services should any of the above conditions not be carried out in a good
faith manner.
