RESOLUTION P.C. NO. 84-7
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DENYING AN AMENDMENT TO CONDITIONAL
USE PERMIT NO. 71, AND COASTAL PERMIT NO. 5 WITHOUT
PREJUDICE
WHEREAS, Mr. Thomas Milostan has made an application for Tumanjan
and Tumanjan Investment Co. to construct tennis and paddle tennis courts within
the fifty foot structure setback area for Lots 3, 5, 6, and 9 of Tract 39672; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on April 10, 1984, at which time
all interested parties were heard; and
WHEREAS, this amendment is not consistent with the intent of Conditional,
Use Permit No. 71.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS
VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The sites may be adequate to place the proposed courts and
single family dwelling units; however, plans for the primary structures must be
submitted in conjunction with plans for the proposed courts prior to consideration
of any amendments to the Conditional Use Permit.
Section 2: The proposed development is not in conformance with the
Coastal Specific Plan and that the proposed development is not in conformance with
applicable public access and recreation policies of the Coastal Act.
Section 3: For these foregoing reasons, the Planning Commission of
the City of Rancho Palos Verdes does hereby deny this amendment to Conditional Use
Permit No. 71, and Coastal Permit No. 5 without prejudice.
