A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES AMENDING CONDITIONAL
USE PERMIT NO. 41
WHEREAS, Canterbury Gardens has requested an amendment to Conditional
Use Permit No. 41 to allow for the construction of a "lap" swimming pool; and
WHEREAS, the approved retirement facility is located at 5801 Crestridge
Road which is in an Institutional (I) Zone; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a meeting on this matter
at the regular meeting of November 23, 1982.
NOW, THEREFORE THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS
VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the proposed revision allows a six foot by forty-
nine foot (6'x49') "lap" swimming pool.
Section 2: That the proposed use is permitted, subject to a Conditional
Use Permit.
Section 3: That the property is adequate in size and shape to accommodate
the proposed "lap" swimming pool.
Section 4: That the proposed improvements will not result in any
significant effects on the subject property or adjacent properties or to the
permitted uses thereof.
Section 5: For the foregoing reasons the Planning Commission of the
City of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby grants approval of an amendment to Conditional
Use Permit No. 41, subject to the conditions found in Exhibit "A", which are
necessary to protect and preserve the health, safety and general welfare in the
area.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 23rd day of November, 1982.

EXHIBIT "A"
This amendment to Conditional Use Permit No. 41 is hereby approved subject
to the following conditions:
1. This amendment shall expire within one (1) year unless the project
has been initiated.
2. All final plans for the "lap" swimming pool shall be approved by
the Director of Planning prior to issuance of construction plans.
3. Within thirty (30) days of this date, the applicant shall submit a
written statement certifying that all of the above conditions are
understood and agreed upon.
