A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES RECOMMENDING TO THE
CITY COUNCIL GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 13, AND
ZONE CHANGE NO. 11
WHEREAS, the City has initiated General Plan Amendment Na. 13, and Zone
Change No. 11; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing on these
matters on August 10, 1982, at which time all interested parties were given
an opportunity to be heard and present evidence.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes
does hereby recommend to the City Council as follows:
Section 1: The Planning Commission has reviewed and considered the initial
study for Environmental Assessment No. 429 in reaching its decision to recommend
approval of General Plan Amendment No. 13 and Zone Change No. 11. Further, the
Planning Commission finds that the approval of this amendment and zone change
will not result in significant adverse environmental impact to the City.
Section 2:. The Planning Commission has reviewed the adjacent land uses,
densities, and the potential impacts on the area and makes the following findings: '
a. That the single-family designation for the subject property is
consistent with what is existing on neighboring lots.
b. That the single-family designation is appropriate for this site.
Section 3: The Planning Commission finds that Zone Change No. 11 is
consistent with the General Plan (Amendment No. 13).
Section 4: The Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby
recommends approval of General Plan Amendment No. 13 to amend the land use designation
on the southwest corner of the Ladera Linda site from institutional to residential
2-4 dwelling units per acre; and Zone Change No. 11 to change the zoning designation
to residential single family three (3) units per acre (RS -3).
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 10th day of August, 1982.
