A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES APPROVING
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 81
WHEREAS, the Church of Latter Day Saints has requested a Conditional Use
Permit to allow installation of an earth station located at 5845 Crestridge
Road.
WHEREAS, following public notice, issued pursuant to the provisions of
the City's Development Code, public hearings were held on June 22 and July 27,
1982 at which times all interested parties were given an opportunity to be heard
and present=evidence.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES
DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the site is adequate in size and shape to accomodate said
use and for all of the yards, setbacks, walls, fences, landscaping and other
features required by the Development Code, and that an earth station is an
allowable use in an Institutional Zoning District.
Section 2: That Crestridge Road provides adequate vehicular access to the
site, since the earth station will not generate additional traffic.
Section 3: That the Planning Commission does hereby declare that the final
Negative Declaration has been completed iA compliance with State and local
guidelines and that the Commission has reviewed and considered the contents of
the Initial Study in reaching its decision. The Planning Commission further
finds that an earth station in this area will not result in a significant adverse
effect on adjacent properties or permitted use thereof since conditions are
hereby imposed to mitigate potential impacts.
Section 4: That the use is not contrary to the General Plan, since the
view impacts have been mitigated.
Section 5: For the foregoing reasons, the Planning Commission of the City
of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby grants approval of Conditional Use Permit No. 81
subject to the conditions found in Exhibit "A" of this resolution.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 10th day of August, 1982.

Conditional Use Permit No. 81 is hereby approved subject to the following
conditions:
1. Prior to final approval, the applicant shall submit construction drawings
which include but are not limited to the following information: pad,
retaining wall, and antenna elevations and location of antenna dish,
coaxial cable and landscape buffer.
2. A six (6) foot stucco wall shall be constructed along the west side of the
earth station's enclave.
3. The antenna dish's highest elevation shall not exceed the highest elevation
of the six (6) foot stucco wall.
4. The applicant shall comply with all Federal Communication Commission's
Regulations related to receiving antennas.
5. Within thirty (30) days of the receipt of this resolution and conditions,
the applicant should read and state that he understands said conditions.
