A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES GRANTING CONDITIONAL
USE PERMIT NO. 57 FOR A WATER PUMP STATION AT
RESERVOIR NO. 20 - CREST ROAD AT EASTFIELD DRIVE
WHEREAS, the California Water Service Company has requested a Conditional
Use Permit to permit construction of a water pump station at Reservoir No. 20
located at Crest Road and Eastfield Drive; and
WHEREAS, following a public notice, issued pursuant to the provisions of
the City's Development Code, a public hearing was held on March 25, 1980, at
which time all interested parties were given an opportunity to be heard and
present evidence.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PUNNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES
DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the site is adequate in size and shape to construct a
water pump station in compliance with the requirements of the Development Code.
Section 2: That no significant traffic will be generated by the project.
Section 3: That the project will not create a significant adverse effect
on adjacent properties since conditions are imposed to mitigate potential im-
pacts.
Section 4: That the proposed project is consistent with the Land Use Map
of the City's General Plan, since a water pump station is permitted in the
Institutional districts.
Section 5: For the foregoing reasons, the Planning Commission of the City
of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby grants approval of Conditional Use Permit No. 57
subject to the conditions found in Exhibit "A" of this resolution.

EXHIBIT "A"

CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 57 IS APPROVED SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
1. Final site, grading, building and landscape plans (which include
lighting and irrigation) shall be submitted to the Director of
Planning for approval prior to request for construction permits.
The final plans are to conform to the approved plot plan and ele-
vations as approved by the-Plaiffii7ng Commission on March 25, 1980.
2. That the walls of the building be extended to shield the pressure
tank from view.
3. That the noise level of the pumps not exceed a maximum of 55 dB(A)
at the property line.
4. This permit shall expire within twelve (12) months from this date
unless permits have been applied for.
5. Within thirty (30) days of the receipt of the signed resolution and
conditions, the applicant shall read and state in writing that he
understands said conditions.
