A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES,
CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY
COUNCIL THE ADOPTION OF GENERAL PLAN
AMENDMENT NO. 2 OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
PALOS VERDES
WHEREAS, the City has initiated Gefteral-PlAh-Amendment-
No. 2; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held public hearings
on this matter on July 12 and July 26, 1977, at which time all
interested parties were given an opportunity to be heard and
present evidence;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE -PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO PALOS VERDES DOES HEREBY RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Planning Commission has reviewed and con-
sidered the contents of the Final Environmental Impact Report in
reaching its decision on General Plan Amendment No. 2.
Section 2: The Planning Commission has reviewed the ad-
jacent land uses and densities and the potential impacts on the
area and makes the following findings:
A. The densities requested by the applicants are too
great, considering the previous impaction of the
area.
B. The use and density should be compatible with the
general area.
C. Some of the lots are too small to accommodate higher
densities.
D. Potential projects allowable with higher density
would further impact views, skyline, and privacy.
E. Low density residential is not compatible in the
- area.
Section 3: The Planning Commission of the City of Rancho
Palos Verdes hereby recommends approval of General Plan Amendment
No. 2 to amend the land use designation on Lots 1, 2, 3, 16, and
17 of Tract 28750 from Residential 2-4 dwelling units per acre
to Residential 4-6 dwelling units per acre.
