The Planning Commission meeting

CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM The Commission reviewed the pro-
posed six (6) year Capital Im-
provement Program.
On motion of Dr. Brown, seconded by Mr. McTaggart, and unanimously carried,
the Commission found all projects in conformance with the General Plan
and so reported to the Director of Planning.
Following additional discussion, on motion of Mr. Hinchliffe, seconded
by Mr. McTaggart, and unanimously carried, the Commission informed the
City Council that the Commission has concerns about the Parks projects
relative to the amount of money required to construct the projects and
whether the public still supports this magnitude of Parks projects with
this cost.
RECESSED:
7:47 p.m.
At 7:56 p.m. the Planning Commission reconvened as Housing Committee.
PRESENT: All Planning Commission, Dyda, Shaw,
Bacharach
ALSO PRESENT: City Manager, Director of Planning,
Associate Planner Negendank
HOUSING ELEMENT AMENDMENT The•Housing Committee discussed
the revised portions of the Draft
Working Paper/Needs Assessment
and requested further revisions.
The Committe then reviewed two sections of the Needs Assessment - Household
and Housing Characteristics, and Population and Employment Trends and
Housing Need. Staff will make requested revisions, in addition to the
changes already noted on the Addendum sheet.'
A recess was called at 9:30 p.m. The meeting reconvened at 9:50 p.m.
It was the consensus of the Committee to hold the next three meetings
on July 2, July 8, and July 13 at 7:30 p.m. in Council Chambers.
The land inventory portion of the Needs Assessment was distributed by
staff. The committee requested that the information displayed on the
wall map be incorporated into the Land Inventory. Additional revisions
will be made, and the Land Inventory will be re -submitted.
ADJOURNMENT At 10:17 p.m. the Planning Commission
adjourned to Tuesday, June 23, 1981,
at 7:30 p.m.
