Work Session ,
September 28, 1978
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall offices,
30940 Hawthorne Boulevard, by Chairman Hughes.
PRESENT: Bacharach, Brown, Hinchliffe, McTaggart, Hughes
ABSENT: None
Also present was Gary Weber, Associate Planner.

CONDITIONAL USE -PERMIT NO. 36 After the work session was called to
TOrfftig--Coutt Lighting order, the Commission and staff trav-
eled to 30421 Miraleste Drive to view
the new tennis court lights that were
the subject of Conditional Use Permit No. 36. Frank Iacono, property owner
and applicant, turned on the lights upon the arrival of the Commission at
8:00 p.m. An on-site inspection of the lights was then undertaken.
Following the inspection of the lights at the subject property, the Commis-
sion and staff visited three nearby residences to allow for further evalua-
tion of the lights from typical locations. The evaluation was taken from
the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Pierce (2121 Daladier), Mr. and Mrs. Bert
Dulac (41 Avenida Corona), and Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Blau (47 Avenida Corona).
After all three residences had been visited, the Commission and staff re-
turned to the City Hall offices.
CODE AMENDMENT NO. 5 This portion of the work session in -
Height Variation Revisions volved discussion of various sections
of the draft revisions to Section 9113
of the Code. The discussion resulted
in the completion of a working draft which will be presented to the public
at the continuation of the public hearing. The date of the continuance was
not set. Staff was directed to attempt to provide the updated version to
the Commission by the next regular meeting.

At 11:30 p.m. it was moved, seconded,
and carried to adjourn to the geology
