ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
RANCHO PALOS VERDES CITY COUNCIL
APRIL 2, 2014
The meeting was called to order at 6:33 P.M. by Mayor Duhovic at Pt. Vicente
Interpretive Center, 31501 Palos Verdes Drive West, Sunset Room, notice having been
given with affidavit thereto on file.
City Council roll call was answered as follows:
PRESENT: Campbell, Knight, Misetich, and Mayor Duhovic
ABSENT: Brooks (excused)
Also present were Acting City Manager Carolynn Petru, Human Resources Manager
Sean Robinson, and Director of Public Works Michael Throne.
FLAG SALUTE:
The Flag Salute was led by Director of Public Works Michael Throne.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA:
Councilman Misetich moved, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Knight, to approve the
agenda as presented.
The motion passed on the following roll call vote:
AYES: Campbell, Knight, Misetich and Mayor Duhovic
NOES: None
ABSENT: Brooks
PUBLIC COMMENTS:
None.
REGULAR BUSINESS:
Interview Two of the Four City Manager Recruitment Firms (2nd Group)
Council Members conducted the interview with Avery Associates.
RECESS AND RECONVENE:
Mayor Duhovic called a brief recess from 7:03 P.M. to 7:19 P.M.
Council Members conducted the interview with Bob Murray & Associates.
Councilman Misetich left the meeting at 7:45 P.M. and returned at 7:47 P.M.
Discussion ensued among Council Members.
Mayor Duhovic moved, seconded by Councilman Campbell, to continue the selection of
the recruitment firm to the April 15, 2014 Council Meeting, to allow Councilwoman
Brooks the opportunity to interview the final two recruitment firms. Directed staff to allot
30 minutes for the item.
Without objection, Mayor Duhovic so ordered.
ADJOURNMENT:
Mayor Duhovic adjourned the meeting at 8:20 P.M.
