SPECIAL MEETING
MAY 6, 2008
The City Council /Redevelopment Agency Special Meeting was called to order at 6:00
P.M. by Mayor /Chair Stern at Fred Hesse Community Park, 29301 Hawthorne
Boulevard, notice having been given with affidavit thereto on file.
Roll call was answered as follows:
PRESENT: Gardiner, Long, and Mayor /Chair Stern
ABSENT: Clark ** and Wolowicz*
* Councilman /Member Wolowicz arrived at 6:03 P.M.
* *Mayor Pro Tem Clark/Vice Chair Clark arrived at 6:12 P.M.
Also present were City Manager /Executive Director Carolyn Lehr, City Attorney /Agency
Attorney Carol Lynch, Deputy City Manager /Assistant Executive Director Carolynn
Petru, and Director of Planning, Building & Code Enforcement Joel Rojas.
PUBLIC COMMENTS (.On Items Listed on the Special Meeting Agenda):
None.
RECESS TO CLOSED SESSION:
The meeting was recessed into Closed Session at 6:01 P.M.
RECONVENE TO OPEN SESSION (to Interview the Applicant for Chair of the
Water Quality and Flood Protection Oversight Committee):
The meeting was reconvened to Open Session at 7:13 P.M. The interview of the
Applicant for Chair of the Water Quality and Flood Protection Oversight Committee was
not performed due to time constraints.
CLOSED SESSION REPORT:
The Closed Session report was given in Council Chambers at the end of the Regular
Meeting.
ADJOURNMENT:
Mayor /Chair Stern recessed the City Council /Redevelo
ment Agency Special Meeting
at 7:13 P.M. into the Council Chambers for the Regul : r Me -ting.
