NOVEMBER 7, 1984
A meeting of the Rancho Palos Verdes Redevelopment Agency was called to order
at 7:30 P. M. by Chairman Bacharach.

RESOLUTION NO. 84-9 Director Guluzzy presented the proposed resolu-
REVISED PROPOSED tion for adoption and directed the member's
REDEVELOPMENT PLAN attention to the revisions in Sections 4.01 and
6.02.
Marta E. Haney, 40 Cherryhill Lane, requested a guarantee that her house would
be relocated.
Florence Smith, 30910 Via Rivera, inquired about the status of the Rlkee
Butterfly along Palos Verdes Drive South in the vicinity of the suggested
realignment.
Kathy Snell, 8 Vanderlip Drive, voiced her opposition to the Redevelopment
Agency, the low to moderate income housing requirement, the use of the term
"blighted", the exclusion of the Abalone Cove Beach area, and the owner par-
ticipation requirement.
RESOLUTION NO. 84-9 OF THE RANCHO PALOS VERDES REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY TAKING
CERTAIN ACTIONS IN CONNECTION WITH A REVISED PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR
PROJECT AREA NO. 1 was read by title and ADOPTED on motion of Member McTaggart,
seconded by Member Hughes and carried on a four - zero vote with Member
Hinchliffe abstaining.
COUNTY FISCAL Director Guluzzy referred to the October 29
REVIEW COMMITTEE letter from County Chief Administrator Harry
Hufford and their findings and recommendation
to oppose the Redevelopment Agency and to adopt
a resolution requesting reimbursement for amounts allocated to the Agency
which are attributable to future tax rate increases in the Project Area.

The Agency members then discussed what was being done to correct the County's
perception regarding the problems that really exist in the Project Area and
the small amount of funds that the Library District will be losing over the
entire 40 year life of the Project.
Kathy Snell, 8 Vanderlip Drive, questioned the amount of funds spent on
repairing Palos Verdes Drive South.
Florence Smith, 30910 Via Rivera, commented on City and County relations.
Maureen Griffen, 5 Gingerroot Lane, thanked the Agency for action to stop
the slide.
ADJOURNMENT At 8:25 P.M. the Agency adjourned on motion
of Member McTaggart.
