RANCHO PALOS VERDES REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
REGULAR MEETING
SEPTEMBER 4, 1984
A Meeting of the Rancho Palos Verdes Redevelopment Agency was called to order
at 7:30 P. M. After the Pledge of Allegiance, the following roll call was
taken:
PRESENT: MEMBER DOUGLAS HINCHLIFFE
MEMBER MELVIN W. HUGHES
VICE CHAIRMAN JOHN McTAGGART
CHAIRMAN JACKI BACHARACH
ABSENT: MEMBER ROBERT E. RYAN
MINUTES Member McTaggart moved, seconded by Hinchliffe
and carried to approve minutes of July 31,
August 7, and August 21, 1984 as presented.
PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT Member Hughes moved, seconded by Member Hinchliffe
PLAN - PROJECT AREA and carried, to approve the REDEVELOPMENT PLAN
NO. 1 FOR PROJECT AREA NO. 1.
RESOLUTION NO. RDA 84-4 RESOLUTION NO. RDA 84-4 OF THE RANCHO PALOS
VERDES REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY APPROVING RULES AND
REGULATIONS REGARDING OWNER PARTICIPATION AND
BUSINESS RE-ENTRY was ADOPTED on motion of Member McTaggart, seconded by Member
Hinchliffe and carried.
NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY- It was the consensus of the Agency members that
RULES GOVERNING notification of availability of these rules be
PARTICIPATION BY OWNERS sent to homes associations and newspapers over
& RE-ENTRY IN BUSINESS and above that required which is required.
IN PROJECT AREA NO. 1
RESOLUTION NO. RDA 84-5 Member McTaggart moved, seconded by Member Hughes
DIRECTING TRANSMITTAL and carried, to ADOPT RESOLUTION RDA NO. 84-5
OF THE PROPOSED PLAN OF THE RANCHO PALOS VERDES REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
TO THE PLANNING TAKING CERTAIN ACTIONS IN CONNECTION WITH A
COMMISSION PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR PROJECT AREA
NO. 1.

LETTER TO TAXING AGENCIES Approved distribution of the proposed draft
letter to each taxing agency together with the
Redevelopment Plan.
RESOLUTION NO. RDA 84-6 Member McTaggart moved, seconded by Member
CONSENTING TO HOLDING Hughes and carried, to ADOPT RESOLUTION NO.
A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING RDA 84-6 OF THE RANCHO PALOS VERDES REDEVELOP-
II/
MENT AGENCY CONSENTING TO THE HOLDING OF A
JOINT PUBLIC HEARING.
It was the consensus of the Agency that notice of the November 20 public
hearing could be published now and at a later time closer to the meeting.
In response to a question by Mr. Richard Bara, 1 Peppertree, regarding
completion of Crenshaw Boulevard if the landslide is stabilized Council
responded that no consideration had been given to that issue.
ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to be considered
by the Agency, the meeting adjourned at 8:25 P.M.
on motion of Member McTaggart.
