Speaking as a private citizen Councilman Ryan explained that that particular piece of property was a buffer that was provided for the Abalone Cove Park and he suggested that the City Council look at this property prior to making any decision on selling it. He stated that the property has a steep ravine that leads to the Ocean and cited the problems of building a home on that property because it was contiguous into a public park. Lois Larue, 3136 Barkentine Rd. , spoke in opposition to the selling of this property. Member Bacharach moved, seconded by Member McTaggart to receive and file the report. Motion carried.
