CC RES 1974-065 RESOLUTION NO. 74-65 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE,CITY • OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CALIFORNIA, REQUEST- ING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO ACCEPT ON BEHALF OF SAID DISTRICT A TRANSFER AND CONVEYANCE OF STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS AND DRAINAGE SYSTEM KNOWN AS PRIVATE DRAIN NOS. 1085, 1105 AND 1104, IN THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS. VERDES FOR FUTURE OPERATION, MAINTENANCE REPAIR AND IMPROVEMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER AND CONVEYANCE THEREOF. WHEREAS, there have been dedicated unto, or the City . of Rancho Palos Verdes has otherwise acquired, the storm drain improvements and drainage system known as Private Drains 1085, p g 1105 and 1104, described in Exhibits A, B and C, attached hereto; and WHEREAS, the City of Rancho Palos Verdes is authorized and empowered to transfer and convey unto the Los Angeles County Flood Control District any storm drain improvements and drain- age systems for future operation, maintenance, repair and improvement; and . WEEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the Los Angeles County Flood Control District is authorized and empowered under Section 13-3/4 of the Los Angeles County Flood Control Act, as amended, to accept on behalf of said District a transfer and conveyance of storm drain improvements and drainage systems lying within the territorial boundaries of said District when- ever tie governing body of any public agency owning or having jurisdiction over such storm drain improvements and drainage systems by resolution requests said Flood Control District to accept such improvements and systems, except that such Flood Control District shall not assume or be liable for any bonded indebtedness that may be against such storm drains or drainage systems; and . The City of Rancho Palos Verdes shall defend the County of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles County Flood Control District and hold each of said agencies free and harmless from any liability created by the construction of the facility so I/ transferred herein. Reference is hereby made to District Drawing Nos. 275- 558-F27.1 through 27.3, 275-558-F28.1 through 28.4, and 275- 558-F30; the plan and profile of said storm drain improvements and drainage system on file in the office of the City Engineer and on file in the office of the Chief Engineer of said Dis- trict for further data as to the exact location, extent and description of said storm drain improvements and drainage system. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. Absent: None • 400 City Clerk of the City of R.- o P. os Verdes 3 - Resolution No. 74-65 • • EXHIBIT A I/ PRIVATE DRAIN NO. 1085 A reinforced concrete pipe conduit and appurtenant structures in Tract Nos. 30167, 29594, 29593, and 29596, filed in Book 823, pages 76 through 80, and in Book 819, pages 64 through 76 of Maps, records of the County of Los Angeles, described as follows: Commencing at a junction with an existing drain in Hawthorne Boulevard at Granvia Altamira, thence easterly in Hawthorne Boulevard and a 6.5 foot easement to a junction with Private Drain No. 1105 (being transferred concurrently) . A distance of 1,513 feet more or less. Laterals 1, la and 2 are connector pipes from catch basins to the main line. All as shown on District Drawing Nos. 275-558-F27.1 through 27.3. • • I/ Exhibit "A" to Resolution No. 74-65 • EXHIBIT B I/ PRIVATE DRAIN NO. 1105 A reinforced concrete pipe conduit and appurtenant structures in Tract Nos. 29594, 29593 and 29596, filed in Book 819, pages 64 through 76 of Maps, records of the County of Los Angeles, described as follows: Commencing at a junction with Private Drain No. 1085 (being transferred concurrently) , thence southerly in a ten-foot easement to a 36-foot and variable width private driveway (which is a storm drain easement in Tract No. 29596) , thence continuing southerly in said driveway to Ridgegate Drive, thence easterly in Ridgegate Drive to Highridge Road, thence southeasterly in Highridge Road to a junction with an existing road culvert. A distance of 1,375 feet more or less. LATERAL 4 Commencing at Station 11+40.00, Private Drain No. 1085, thence southerly in a 10-foot and variable width easement terminating in a catch basin at the northerly end of a 36-foot and variable width driveway (which is a storm drain easement in Tract -29594) . A distance of 212 feet more or less. LATERAL 6 Commencing at Station 15+00.00, Private Drain No. 1085, thence southerly in a 10-foot and variable width easement terminating in a catch basin at the northerly end of a 36-foot and variable width driveway (which is a storm drain easement in Tract 29593) . A distance of 262 feet more or less. Laterals 8, 9 and 11 are connector pipes from catch basins to the main line. All other laterals are not included in this transfer. I/ PRIVATE DRAIN NO. 1104 A reinforced concrete pipe conduit and appurtenant structures in Tract No. 30167, filed in Book 823, pages 76 through 80 of Maps, records of the County of Los Angeles, described as follows : Commencing at Station 3+05.00 of Private Drain No. 1085 (being transferred concurrently) thence southeasterly in a 10-foot and variable width easement terminating in a catch basin at the northerly end of a thirty four foot wide driveway (which is a storm drain easement in Tract No. 30167) . A distance of 70 feet more or less.. All as shown on District Drawing No. 275-558-F30. I/ Exhibit "C" to Resolution No. 74-65 .
